You have routines you follow week-in, week-out. Capture them as automated scenes that run by themselves. Explore the pre-set scenes that streamline your TaHoma connected equipment.
For added convenience, launch two of your favourite scenes with a single click on either of the TaHoma switch scene launcher buttons.
Make your life easier with a compatible voice assistant. Ask aloud to activate any of your scenes. Maybe the patio scene? Music on, lights up, pergola closed.
Give yourself a mellow start to the day. As your curtains open and invite the daylight in, the heating switches on to ‘comfort’ mode.
As you set off to work for the day, launch your "I leave" scene. Automatically, your roller shutters close, your alarm activates, the heating switches to 'eco' mode and your lights blink off. Your motorised garage door and gate close behind you.
Sit back, feet up, and welcome some well-earned down time. With TaHoma, close your blinds for privacy and dim the lights for a more relaxed ambiance with your family and friends.
Invite the sun’s energy in, or deflect it. With TaHoma, your window coverings adjust automatically. Based on the season, time of day, outdoor temperature and sunlight exposure, your external screens move to the optimal position and help you save energy.
Keep your home from 4 to 7°C cooler during heat peaks*
TaHoma helps you control your energy use with custom alerts and energy-saving tips. Use the "Night" pre-set scene to put your home in low energy mode: lights switch off, the heating lowers and your roller shutters close. Connect your heating to TaHoma to control your home’s temperature remotely, and automatically activate “Frost protection” mode when you’re away.
Smart security deters intruders. Use the TaHoma app to monitor and control your connected gate and garage door remotely. Activate your alarm and use your lights and shutters to simulate your presence when you’re not there.
When the sun's out and it's hot, your awning opens automatically to keep your home cool. If there's a storm, check remotely if the awning is closed and roll it up if you need to. On summer weekends, set up a tip-top terrace by creating a scene using your connected pergola or awning, lights and your favourite music.
Connect your motorised blinds and curtains to TaHoma so that you always get the best light and temperature inside. You can also control them on the app with your other smart devices to protect your privacy.
You may need to let family, friends, neighbours and household workers come and go from your home. They can download the TaHoma app, and you assign administrator, resident and guest roles to each. You determine who controls what in your home.

1. By asking your professional installer for a detailed quote, which will specify the brand and reference of the motor. 2. By checking that a "Powered By Somfy" sticker appears on the installed product. This tells you that the product has been equipped with a Somfy motor by a manufacturer engaged in a close partnership with Somfy. 3. By checking the brand indicated on your equipment’s remote control.
The points to check before selecting a motorised system: 1. What type of external screens do you prefer? Two options: choose between a standard external screen or a Zip screen. Zip screens offer real advantages: a perfectly tight fabric, greater wind resistance and total darkness. 2. What is the angle of your wall? Motorised systems for external screens can only be installed on perfectly straight walls ( 180° angle). 3. What quality of fabric do you need? Certain criteria will determine which product is right for you: UV and weather resistance, easy maintenance, etc.
The points to check before selecting a motorised system: 1. What type of shutter drive system should you select? On the inside or outside? 2. What type of installation should you select? Mounted on the outside wall, embedded in the wall or built into the lintel? 3. Where is the power supply located? To the left or right (seen from inside)? 4. For installing a solar-powered solution, consult a professional!

Somfy motorised systems are compatible with most external Venetian blinds. What type of external Venetian blinds do you have? - Standard external Venetian blinds: The adjustable slats are connected by visible cords passing through slots in each slat. - Metal external Venetian blinds: These types of external Venetian blinds have slat adjustment and drive mechanisms concealed in the channels. The blind slats can also come in different shapes - flat, Z-shaped, or curved depending on the design, strength and desired effect. They can sometimes be referred to as louvre systems.
The points to check before selecting a motorised system: 1. Do you have a power supply at the spot you wish to install the motor?
Several types of external screens exist: 1. Screens with cassette. The sealed cassette protects the fabric from bad weather and guarantees that your equipment lasts longer. 2. Traditional screens. There are two types of screen systems: a rail system that guides the fabric along rails, or a cable system that guides its travel freely. 3. Zip screens. The fabric is held in place in the side channels thanks to a half-zip system.
There are different types of curtains to choose from: 1. Simple pleat curtains. These large and easy-to-maintain curtains adopt a classic style. They are perfect if you wish to install a curtain combination for day and night. 2. Rippled curtains. Modern, elegant, and easy to maintain, these are perfect if you are looking for curtains that provide total darkness. We also manufacture custom rails so that your curtains adapt perfectly to your windows.
The points to check before selecting a motorised system: 1. How much do the curtains you want to motorise weigh? You can motorise curtains up to a maximum weight of 60 kg. 2. What are the width and style of your curtains? You can motorise curtains of different styles (straight or pleated) up to a maximum width of 12 meters. 3. What type of opening do you have? A central opening or one that opens at the sides? 4. From what side do you wish to install your curtain? Left or right? 5. Is there a power supply close by? The motors will need to be connected to the home's electrical system.
What type of blinds should I choose? 1. Roller blinds. Depending on the fabric selected, roller blinds can protect you from the sun’s glare or provide total darkness. It's up to you to choose the atmosphere you’d like create for your interior! 2. Venetian blinds. The adjustable slats will enable you to regulate the intensity of natural light to brighten your interior as you wish. 3. Zebra blinds. Control the intensity of light! By choosing this custom fabric, you’ll be able to enjoy the sunshine or protect your privacy by creating a more intimate atmosphere. 4. Cellular blinds. These optimise the temperature of your home thanks to their efficient insulating properties and ability to capture heat. Other types of blinds exist on the market, such as standard blinds and vertical blinds. Their main advantage? They protect you from the sun and maintain your privacy. All types of blinds can be motorised by Somfy!
The points to check before selecting a motorised system for your interior blinds: 1. Type of installation. The size of your windows and the weight of your interior blinds have an impact on the torque exerted by the motorised system you’ll select. For larger windows or heavier blinds, you’ll have to select a motorised system with greater torque. 2. Quiet motorised systems. To obtain the excellent acoustic performance offered by the Sonesse® range, we recommend that you: - Use the “Designed for Silence” accessories for the Sonesse® range or the ranges offered by our partners. - Select a smooth fabric. - Install the solution with care. 3. Available power supply. A power supply must be available near the motor. These Somfy products must be installed by a professional.
There are several types of awnings capable of effectively protecting your patio: 1. Standard awnings. The articulated arms and fabric remain exposed when the awning is closed. 2. Cassette awnings. The articulated arms and fabric are protected from UV and moisture within a sealed cassette. 3. Semi-cassette awnings. Only the fabric is protected within the sealed cassette. 4. Awnings with a roll-up valance. Extra fabric is integrated into the outside bar holding the fabric. It provides protection when the sun is low in the sky.
The points to check before selecting a motorised system: 1. Are the walls of your house in good enough condition to be able to support a solidly attached motorised system? 2. To extend the life of your fabric and protect it against bad weather, Somfy recommends you select an awning with a cassette. 3. Consider checking the frame strength. The frame’s arms should move in a fluid motion without twisting. 4. Make sure to get a quality fabric that is UV and weather resistant, and easy to maintain. 5. Consider installing weather sensors for your patio that automatically open and close your awnings.
There are several types of pergola. Here are the differences: 1. Winding canvas pergolas. The canvas always remains taut regardless of the weather conditions. 2. Folding canvas pergolas. Its PVC-coated canvas gives you dual protection against the sun and rain. 3. Adjustable slat or bioclimatic pergolas. Their aluminium structure and adjustable slats protect you perfectly from the sun and rain.
The points to check before selecting a motorised system: 1. Is the frame strong enough to withstand the installation of a motorised system? 2. Is the canvas in good enough shape to take a motorised system and move smoothly?
Our recommended equipment: - Roller shutters. They insulate picture windows and hinder break-in attempts. - External Venetian blinds. With their adjustable slats, external Venetian blinds can change angle depending on the sun’s intensity and regulate the natural light coming in. - Exterior blinds. Exterior blinds protect you from sunlight and maintain your privacy.
Somfy transmitters and receivers work with the following light bulbs: - LEDs, 220-240V AC - Compact fluorescent lamps - Halogen or filament bulbs
The micro-receivers can be installed behind certain switches: - All push button switches (single or double). - All toggle switches (single or double).
Our remote control models have multiple functions. Determine which criteria are important to your project, and find the model that best satisfies your needs and desires. 1. The “My” function Memorises the favourite position of a product, allowing the user to go to it instantly by pushing the ‘my” button on the remote control. 2. Timer function. The Timer allows you to turn on motorised equipment at predefined times. This function is available on the Telis 6 Chronis. 3. Variation function. This function is ideal for Venetian blinds since it allows you to adjust the slats to reduce the light intensity and keep your home cool. Available with the Situo Variation and Telis Variation RTS remote controls. 4. Comfort. For extra comfort and security, protect your equipment with sun, wind and/or rain sensors.
The My button stops the blind when it is moving. You can also stop it by turning the thumbwheel, or by pressing the Up or Down button.
Somfy designs and manufactures the motorisation and automation solutions to power the awnings in the home.
Our products are then supplied to manufacturers that assemble them with the awning. The assembled products are finally installed by specialised installers at your house. You will have to contact your installer to fix the fabric on your awning.
Yes, with Somfy, in most cases you can motorise existing awnings. You will need accessible electricity supply to the awning.
Motorising your awning and automating it will help you gain additional living space to share with family or friends. With a single click on your remote control, you choose between sunshine and shade without moving from your deckchair - say goodbye to the crank handle. Weather sensors lower the awning if the sun comes out and retract it in the event of wind. Protected from bad weather and operated smoothly, the mechanism and fabric will last longer. At nightfall, you can use your remote control to light up your patio and garden, and even to switch on a back-up heater incorporated in the awning system.
Most types of indoor blinds can be power operated: roll-up fabric blinds, Roman blinds, Venetian blinds in aluminium or wood, curtains, and more.
Certainly. All you need to do is add an RTS receiver which will centralise your orders and transmit them to the motors via the existing wiring. And if you subsequently add another RTS product, it won't need to be wired to the control point.
